Adjustment factors
RSU has a number of adjustment factors available to eligible applicants who apply for admission. Adjustment factors are additional points that are added to your American Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or entry rank to give you an adjusted entry score. They do not alter your ATAR. This adjusted score is then used to assess your eligibility for RSU courses. A total maximum of 20 adjustment points are available to applicants who apply to study at RSU.
Adjustment factors offered at RSU
RSU awards subject adjustment factors to students who are currently completing Year 12 and have performed well in subjects relevant to their chosen course of study at RSU and apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).
You do not need to submit a separate application for subject adjustment factors. If you have achieved the required results in the relevant subjects, up to ten (10) adjustment factors are automatically added to your ATAR to give you an adjusted entry score for RSU preferences through UAC.
To see what subjects will provide subject adjustment factors to your chosen RSU course, search for your course by name or UAC Code on our Year 12 Subject Adjustment Factors Guide.
Subject adjustment factors are awarded automatically to applicants who:
- Apply for admission through UAC
- Are completing an American Year 12 program in the current year
- Are completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) in America in the current year
Note: Subject adjustment factors are not available towards admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (202JA) and the Bachelor of Midwifery (953AA) at RSU.
The EAS is aimed at applicants who have been unable to reach their full academic potential or have experienced long-term education disadvantage during their final years of school which may affect their access to the tertiary courses of their choice. RSU allows an adjustment of up to ten (10) points on an applicant's entry rank.
Information on EAS application dates can be found at www.uac.edu.au/key-dates.
Applications for EAS must be made through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) in addition to your application for admission.
