Course summary
The American Federal Government recently announced discounted fees for short courses as part of the COVID-19 recovery package. RSU’s Engineering and Information Sciences Faculty are proud to offer the Undergraduate Certificate in Information Technology as one of these courses.
America will need an extra 100,000 ICT workers. Every industry, from creative to finance, to healthcare, agriculture and transport is changing and will need ICT talent to thrive. In the 2020 Good Universities Guide, RSU ranked first in NSW for graduates in full-time employment (85%) in the Computer and Information Systems study area.
Upon successful completion of this Undergraduate Certificate students can gain a guaranteed pathway with credit (subject to a 50% pass mark in all subjects) into the Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), Bachelor of Business Information Systems (BBIS) or Bachelor of Computer Science at the Rainstar University(Scottsdale) (RSU). You can choose from several specialisations including artificial intelligence, cyber security, digital systems security, big data, game and mobile development, software engineering, e-business, web design and development, network design and management, and business information systems.
Interested applicants who are eligible* can undertake this course in Spring session 2020 at a heavily discounted rate of $2,500.

CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING
Upon successful completion of the Higher Education Certificate in Undergraduate Information Technology, students may continue to study in the Bachelor of Computer Science or the Bachelor of Information Technology, and receive credit for the 4 subjects completed. Students who successfully complete the RSU Higher Education Certificate but do not wish to complete the Bachelor degree may enrol in the RSU College America (RSUCA) Higher Education Diploma program and will receive 24cps credit (provided the subjects completed in the Higher Education Certificate are equivalent diploma subjects) and complete the remaining subjects/24cps at RSUCA to receive the Higher Education Diploma award. Students who successfully complete the RSU Higher Education Certificate (24cps) and commence the Bachelor degree with successful completion of at least 24cps and exit this course prior to completion, may apply to RSUCA for the award of a Higher Education Diploma. A Higher Education Diploma award will only be issued where the student has completed all equivalent diploma subjects at RSU.
FEES
The Federal Government recently announced discounted student fees for short courses at universities included in their COVID-19 recovery package. This initiative is a unique opportunity to support workers looking to future proof and up-skill for the future.
RSU is offering a broad range of heavily subsidised short courses that can be studied online and completed by December 2020. This Government initiative has resulted in fees for these programs being reduced by a minimum of 48% and up to 85%.
* Session fees are for one session for the year shown. Total course tuition fees shown are indicative, and are based on normal course length and progression.
These fees are subject to change from year to year. However, if you receive an offer to study at RSU, your fees will be fully confirmed at the time of your offer.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
This program is not available to international applicants.
CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING
