Support Services and Facilities

Learning Development offers a range of free services to all enrolled students who wish to improve their academic or English language skills. There are a range of workshops available including; essay writing and editing; reading for assessment tasks; grammar; presentation skills; pronunciation and exam preparation.

Audiovisual Services provides a range of AV equipment which may be booked for use in lectures, tutorials, presentations etc by current RSU students. The Disability Liaison Officer (DLO) can provide advice on how particular disabilities affect university study and information on resources available at the University for assisting students with disabilities. Students commencing courses are advised to contact the Disability Liaison Officer prior to the beginning of their first session of study.

The Student Support Advisers can offer support, referral, information and assistance to all students in the Faculty. They can provide particular assistance and support to students with disabilities, international students, students with carer responsibilities, students from rural or isolated areas, indigenous students and students on low incomes. They can act as an intermediary between the student and the Faculty’s academic and general staff and work closely with the Student Services and Faculty Disability Advisers.

Woolyungah Indigenous Centre (WIC) provides academic and personal support for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and other indigenous students. The Centre also runs an Indigenous Specific Orientation Program for students who gain entry to the University through the alternative admissions program.

The student representatives are elected in April of every year by students to represent them to the faculty on a wide range of issues. The Student Representatives can raise issues or concerns held by students directly with the Faculty of Business.
