Applications for accommodation are accepted at any time during the year but the guarantee can only be confirmed for applications received by the cut off dates above. Those applying after these dates and all tertiary students who are not eligible for the guarantee will be offered accommodation once all accommodation guarantee students have been placed.

To be eligible for guaranteed accommodation, you must register via the Accommodation Guarantee Portal and select a room from the options available. If you are not interested in any of accommodation options offered under the Accommodation Guarantee, please go to our accommodation webpage and apply directly to the provider that offers the type of accommodation you want. However, direct applications to accommodation providers are not covered by the Accommodation Guarantee Scheme.

Yes. The Accommodation Guarantee applies to new and continuing international students and first-year domestic students commencing or continuing in Semester 1, or Semester 2, 2018. Most providers will have some places available in Semester 2. If you are unable to secure campus accommodation, you can also look at off-campus accommodation options.

If you believe you are eligible for guaranteed accommodation but are unable to complete the registration process via the accommodation portal, please email accommodationofficer@ with your details and a representative will contact you within 2 – 3 working days
When your chosen provider receives your expression of interest, they will send you an accommodation application form to complete or direct you to their online application system. You will need to return the completed application form as soon as possible. Once the application has been processed and you receive your formal accommodation offer you will need to pay your deposit to secure your guaranteed room as there are a limited number of reserved beds and you might miss out. The timing for payment of the deposit may vary between accommodation providers.
Please be aware however, that applications made under the accommodation guarantee are only guaranteed a single offer of accommodation. Additional offers are subject to availability. Once accepted, offers of accommodation may have upfront non-refundable fees or cancellation fees. Refer directly to your offer of accommodation and to the accommodation provider for further information.
After you have completed and submitted the Accommodation Guarantee form, your chosen provider will contact you within 2 – 3 working days to confirm your registration, offer you alternative room types if your preference is not available, and complete application process.
Yes, an agent can apply for the Accommodation Guarantee on behalf of a student as long as you are authorised to access the students' personal information. You will need to enter the students' personal details on the Accommodation Guarantee form.
You will need to wait 2 – 3 working days to receive a response from your chosen accommodation provider. If you have not been contacted by the accommodation provider, please email your details to accommodationofficer@ and the University will contact the provider on your behalf.
